26 May 2019 IDK about the Miloden specific pan gasket but if the maker says theirs is I call BS. i have a milodon pan on a SBC with the felpro blue gasket. i bought My personal experience with the blue one piece gasket was not good. I have 2 SBC engines that I plan to get gaskets for, the 1st is a a known 1958 283 and the other is a 350 but that is all I have other than the dipstick is on the passengers side. The 350 has a good seal up front with no signs of leaking oil, but the rear is still dripping after re-tightening the pan bolts recently. On a small block Chevy engine, some oil pan gaskets are a bit thicker than others (about 1/8-inch) and this can cause a problem where the gasket seals inside the timing cover grove. Some timing covers (like Speedway's 910-11040) have a thin grove, and others are thick. Fel-pro specifies a thick gasket at 3/8-inch, and a thin gasket at 1/4-inch.

Most of the reason is that while a single piece pan gasket is wonderful, they can still leak at the corners where the pan, front cover, and block meet. My Gen VI big block has a one piece pan seal, but I used some "The Right Stuff" sealer on the corners to be absolutely sure nothing was going to leak.
